My Journey
In 1986, I began my College journey at Georgia Tech in hopes of being an Architect. After a couple of years, I decided the major was not for me and switched to computer networking. After considerable training, I landed a job with a Law Firm in Georgia and began a career that included advanced networking and Information Security.
When my sons got appointments to the Air Force Academy, my wife and I decided to move to Colorado Springs to be near them and to expand my career into Information Security for the Department of Defense. The challenges were complex, but in 5 years, I have grown in the Cybersecurity Discipline and earned many highly regarded certifications, including CISSP, CISM, and CEH.
While an Interdisciplinary Liberal Arts Degree may seem an uncommon choice for the Cybersecurity world, it has actually expanded my research capabilities and taught me to approach problems from several different angles. It has, in fact, made me better at my job.
